Data with a pulse.

Over 20 years wrangling spreadsheets, dashboards, and side projects that got wildly out of hand...in the best way

I’ve been working with data professionally and personally for over two decades — from leading analytics teams as an executive, to teaching data bootcamps at Notre Dame,  and building personal dashboards that no one asked for but turned out kinda awesome.

Here are some of my favorite personal projects over the years.

Wordle With Friends

It all started with tracking the daily stats for Wordle with my family.  Eventually we automated the process with a Discord Bot.  We’re now up to over 1000 games logged.  Someday we’ll build a scalable solution and see how big this can get.  Click to check out the stats or join the competition.

The Pink Floyd Project

What happens when a music fan builds 535 rows of custom segment data across 15 albums and 47 years of songs — just to visualize when vocals drop out and the instruments take over.

A true “no one asked for this, but I built it anyway” project.

Beat Saber Song Ratings

During the summer of 2019, my family and I rated 100 popular Beat Saber maps on a scale of 1-10.  It took months to collect the data, and weeks to put the dashboard together, but it turned out to be one of my favorite projects.  Click to explore the dashboard and download maps for your own Beat Saber instance
